1) what legal/ethical issues need to be considered when implenmenting this database? Explain.
We should include a warning that some lyrics may be innaprpriate for younger people. We should ask the bands permission for using thier song, album cover, sample etc. so we don't breach copyright. Also we should make the information is up to date and totally correct so the customer doesn't buy the incorrect song and get angry at us and decide to sue us.
2) Discuss what advantages such a system has over conventional methods of organising and previewing music. It is much simpler, quicker and easier for the customer to find the song/band/album they are looking for because they don't have to go through the racks of CDs. Also the store can hold more songs digitally than with CDs so they have a larger variety of music. The store doesn't have to organise all the CDs on the racks and the customers wouldn't have to ask the workers if they have a certain song/band/album in yet which creates more time for the workers to do other important stuff.
3)Create a data dictionary for your database.
Field: Song, Type: Text, Description: The Song Title
Field: Artist, Type: Text, Description: The Artist Of The Song
Field: Album, Type: Text, Description: The Name Of The Album Which The Song Comes From
Field: Album Cover, Type: Object, Description: A Picture Of The Album Cover
Field: Genre, Type: Text, Description: The Style Of Music The Song Is
Field: Sample, Type: Object, Description: A Small Portion Of The Song To Listen To
Field: Duration, Type: Text, Description: How Long The Song Goes For
4) Storyboard how the user will navigate through your database. they will open to a main menu will a warning that somelyrics may be inappropriate for children and the following buttons: 'search by song', 'search by artist', 'search by album' and 'search by genre'. the user will click a button then the query box will open so then they type in the song/artist/album/genre and click 'ok'. then they will see a form come up with the song/artist/album/genre they typed in. on that form it will have the following buttons: 'back to main menu', 'next song/artist/album/genre' and 'previous song/artist/album/genre'. the user can go back to the main menu to search again or they go through all the songs with the 'next' and 'previous' buttons.

PROBLEM!
arghh.. none of the computers are working properly bacause noone can access their s drive and most people can't access the student window of the school website so we all have to work on the theory, writing pert of the assignment which just happens to be incredibly boring.
until the s drives are wroking we can't save our theory on a word document so i'll put my answers on another post.

creating a form
it is very easy to create a form where you select which fields are shown.
first you open up the database window then go to forms which is under objects. click new, then a window will open and you chose one of the autoforms or wizards. i chose to use form wizard.
in the drop down thingy you then choose which table or query you want the information to come from and click okay. another screen will open and you double click which fields you want to be shown and click next.
you then have to chose which format you want it to be shown in and click next. you then get to choose which background you want and click next. finally you name the form and click finish.
you are able to go through all the records with only the selected fields showing or go to the first or last record in the file.
