Well we are presenting our presentation next week therefore we have 2 lessons to do this. due to michaela being in melbourne me and michelle have split her question so i am also doing question 1 (the definition) while michelle is doing questions 2, 3 and 6.
here are some answers to my questions because i don't know where else to put them.
1) the ability to view and manage accounts using the internet.
4) well you can misuse online banking data by stealing money from other people's accounts or even pretending to be somebody else. you can gather their financial details and post it on the internet to embaress them or ruin their reputation.
5) it is unethical to sell somebody's details or to blackmail someone using their details or to stalk somebody because you have access to their details. it is ethical to protect it against people who are wanting to do the above things.
here is an example of a scam that is similar to what we are typing about. TROJAN HORSE. they are harmful programmes disguised to look like innocent software which infect a computer. it waits until the user visits a legitimate bank website then infects HTML into certain fields there. the programme then hijacks PINs and transaction numbers as the person enters them into the infected fields and the details are stored.
time is running out of this lesson and michelle and myself have finished answering the questions so we will make the powerpoint next lesson.
